Playing with playdough has countless benefits. By squeezing, poking, rolling, making snakes etc. your little one's develops and strengthens their muscles and fine motor skills. Essentially this directly impacts their writing skills. It also improves coordination. It builds creativity and imagination.
Print the pages on cardstock and laminate. Let your little one take playdough and shape it onto the playmats picture/shape/letter/number etc.
1 cup flour + 1 cup water
½ cup salt
2 tablespoons cream of tartar + 1 tablespoon oil
Mix all ingredients in a pot over medium heat and stir for 3-5 min. The dough will become stiff and become like a ball. Take off the stove an cool down. Add food coloring, glitter etc. Keep in airtight container/zip-lock bag.
